Author Topic: my HTC only downloads the gcd format of the ringtone from myxer.com  (Read 3930 times)

I just got the HTC diamond touch and when I go to download a ringtone from myxer.com it only downloads the gcd format which isnt the actual ringtone. I can't even listen to the ringtone. Can this be fixed? Is there a step im missing? The download actually saves to my phone, but thats it.... Is there a certain setting on my browser that I overlooked? Please someone help I refuse to pay for ringers from sprint....Thanks!!! Smiley

These are the formats supported by the Touch Diamond out of the box according to htc.com:

MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, WAV, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, QCELP, MIDI, MPEG-4

If it's in gcd, then it's not gonna play.

I understand that, however I am trying to figure out as to why its downloading this way. I asked my friend and hers works fine with myxer.com so obviously is some sort of setting or something I am missing.

Well you're gonna have to take that up with their support.  If I had to guess, it's probably a problem with what phone they detect you have.

Do you have a user account with them?  If so is there a place where you set your phone model somewhere in the account settings?
