The nanos are really cool. Do you have the new one? There is a Nano section on the forum as well!

I always tell people who want to try the iPhone experience, to just get an iPod Touch.  The new ones are coming out soon with speakers.  That way you can enjoy a more Business oriented phone like the  Diamond, but get all the fun of the iTouch.  I have the Touch and the app store is really cool.

The new ones are actually already out. They have the built in speaker, a sleeker design, and a physical volume rocker.

I wish I would have waited for the new Touch that has a speaker on it.  Ever since I got mine last year, that is the only thing I thought it was missing.   Ah well... go figure.

I have a 30GB classic (video) needs a screen and a hard drive
4th Gen 20GB that needs a hard drive and battery
a 1st Gen 2gb Nano that needs a battery
and a 1st Gen 2GB that works fine...

the ones in disrepair all have parts en-route from my 'parts guy' and will be sold or given away once fixed.

No iPod here lol, I think I am one of the few people left on earth without one of these gadgets.  I have considered getting one mainly for runs to stay entertained, but just never stepped up to the plate.  For someone just looking for the music capabilities and really not a lot else, is an iPod a good way to go, or just one of those cheaper mp3 players?  I figure you get a better quality product with the apple, but I don't need all the bells and whistles for once a day use for 45 minutes or so.  Any idea which is the best way to go, or what model is the simplest  Grin
