Hi There Touch Diamond Users!

Hi there!

My name is Barb,and I live in Hope Mills, NC. If you have ever heard of Fort Bragg - then that's where I live (20 minutes away from the base).

I am getting a Touch Diamond today! I am excited! I am currently using the HTC Mogul 6800. I have liked it and haven't had too many issues, but I am on my 3rd one.  The first I sat in a hot tub with it! (Ha-Ha!) Luckily I had the insurance and replaced it with a new one for the $50.00.  The one that came was a lemon - couldn't get the email or the web browser to work for nothing. Finally took it to a repair center and they confirmed that it was a dead phone and they replaced it with the one I have now.  It works, but freezes quite often and I have never been able to hear the phone ring - the ring tones are not loud enough even having the volume on the highest level. I am just ready for something smaller. I have done quite a bit of research on this one / I am don't use the slide out keyboard that much so I don't want the PRO because I was told that the Touch Diamond is the exact same phone as the PRO without the slide out keyboard.  For me the Mogul is too bulky and difficult to use while driving.  So, I am ready for a change!  I am also concerned that this Diamond with the red back cover might be  discontinued soon as the Diamond 2 is coming out in Europe.  I was tempted to wait to see if it made it over here.  Also there is a Diamond with the sparkle look on the back. Is that new or is the one with the red back the newest?  I have Sprint so I have to go with the one they offer.

I don't think I can wait until the 3rd quarter of this year (when is that?)!  So, I ordered my HTC Touch Diamond today from Sprint! It should be here in a couple of days! I can't wait!!

Thanks for the info! I don't think I could wait until September to get the new one! I am glad I went ahead and ordered it and I got a great deal too!  I had credits due on two lines so they applied that towards my bill and gave me my 150.00 upgrade and then there is the $100.00 rebate - so I'll end up only paying $59.99 for it! Sweeeeet!  I am just being so impatient about it getting here!
