Hi there, I am looking for ideas and inputs on programs that you people would like to have in your phone. I am a software programmer currently working on a few applications for Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphones.  But I know that we always want to have something that is not out there yet, so if you have a great idea please send it to me.

Thanks!

Can't believe nobody answered to this one!!!
Thanks for the proposal, I must say that I already saw this yesterday and couldn't really come up with anything directly. But I've added it to my favorites, so you were bound to get harassed.

One problem I currently have (has nothing to do with an external program) is that I would like the HTC TD's TF3D Programs tab to carry more icons (say, 4 columns, as can be configured in the WM programs menu).

Can you maybe help? Some guy on a forum uttered that Manila could be arranged that way with some good XML knowledge...

I'm curious, thanks anyway!!

And a task tab in TF3D would be great too!
You can even earn some $ with it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447461

I have a couple things I would like to see.

I used to have a blackberry and liked the idea of receiving all messaging in one screen. Text Messaging, Email, etc... Could you make that happen?

Also, I can't stand the song players. I have tried the TF3D one and it's a pain in the rear. The S2P one isn't bad, but it constantly boots up when I don't want it to and it's user modifyability is terrible.

when I use the phone, I can usually think of a few things - reading this on the forum - I'm almost drawing a blank...

But here's on thing I would really love: (a manilla customization)
when I'm in the email view of TF3D, I would like for the notifacation bubble to dissapear (like in sms view of TF3D) when I PREVIEW the new mail, instead of heaving to go into the actual inbox and mark it read.
So, either a possibility for the mail to be marked read from the preview, or a alt menu to mark read in the soft keys of the mail view in TF3D.

And thank you so much for the offer.

Just thought of another one:
A finger friendly New Contact App.

To add a new contact, the quickest is usually the standard outlook app. It is however impossible to add a new contact without the stylus and the way the info is to be filled in is not very smooth.

In a finger friendly app, I would like the SIP to show and just a few field with the main info: Name (first, last); Phone# with tappable field or icon that would let you change it to home, office etc.
Then maybe a "more" button that would open up a page with more info, like email, address, catergory.

When I hit the "save" button, it would have to integrate the new contact into the contacts program/outlook contacts.

I think I have a fairly easy one and would be of benefit for people in the workplace.

Would be nice to have an application that would route all internet traffic through your cell phone carrier when connected via active sync to the PC.  I use my My Mobiler on my work PC while hooked up via Active Sync.  Whenever I go to the internet in My Mobiler it tries to route through my Active Sync connection to the PC.  I do not want this because my work restricts where I can go(not to mention the tracking).  This is important when trying to use Facebook or any other web site my work determines is unacceptable.

Maybe there is a setting to do this but I haven't found it.  Sometimes when I mess around with the phone I can get it to work like I want.  I'm not sure what I do so it's not repeatable where I can do it easily.  I did notice that all my Text messages are routed properly so I'm thinking that to get the Internet applications to do the same might not be difficult.

Thanks for any help you can offer on this.

Atomic2mod, you have a great idea but like others are saying here there are a few applications out there that do what you are looking for. I would suggest to give it a try, but if they do not work or you think of new stuff to improve them please let me know and then we can develop a new one. Thank you for contributing and keep thinking, I am pretty sure that we will come up with something very cool.

In the mean time here is two of our latest applications. http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ncmd-email-validator.html - NCMD Email Validator is a basic email verification tool that connects to a web service to validate the status of any email address. You can also share the status with anyone in your contact list by entering a cell number to forward the information via SMS.

http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-mobi-cocktail.html - Mobi Cocktail is a free Mobile Bacardi Cocktail reference guide for Windows Mobile devices. Search over 44 delicious Bacardi Cocktails Recipes anywhere, anytime right on your mobile windows phone. Share those delicious recipes with your friend with just a click of a button.  So far we have a five star rating from people that have downloaded this application.

davejulien - I will look into your request.

Thank you guys!

I've been looking all over for some kind of "Drunk Dialing" prevention tool.  Maybe link up the "teeter app" making you have to pass level 7 or so before you can dial a number. (allowing 911 would be a nice extra) or something to that effect.  I think this would be beneficial to many as I know I've gotten myself in some awkward situations that could have easily been prevented if i would have just my phone down.

Thanks in advance.

berry2532 ,

You came up with a great idea. Let me come up with something and as soon I get it ready you will be the first one to know about it and test it. By the way, I have posted here at AllTouchDiamond, my website with some other applications that I have developed. Please visit the site at www.nestorcruz.com and send me an email to keep in touch while I work on your request. I am pretty sure that many people will benefit from this great idea.

Thanks!

Thanks for the AddContact cab. Never knew it existed.

Since the Sprint Service Update, they have made this a bit easier as well.
