(SPRINT USERS)
This software is incompatible  and UNUSABLE  with the Sprint version of this device.

no prompt appears anywhere that allows you to select skyfire as the default browser, resulting in P.IE becoming the default.

on first launch, only the LEFT half of what seems to be a login page will apear.(no cancel button, thats on the right side)

Not entirely true.  When you launch Skyfire, you go into settings and select Skyfire as default browser.  On my other Diamond, where Skyfire is loaded, Opera is still it's default browser.

this is most likely not true.
I have sprint and I'm using skyfire without any issues.

It maybe because i have cooked rom (highly unlikely) but I never had issues with any version of skyfire. (minus the fact that earlier version had screen chopped in half)

I experienced problems like this with an older version.  I got the latest one and it works fine now.

I must have tried to install the 3.5 compact framework about 20 times but each time it just installed it locally - it made no attempt to do anything at all with activesync or my phone.  in the end I found the .cab file on my pc and copied it and installed it that way.  I'm not sure why running a .msi file locally would be expected to install anywhere else anyway, nor why Microsoft doesn't just host the .cab file.   I'm not that surprised, obviously, as I've been using Microsoft stuff for years but each time something like this happens I wonder who thought it was a good idea.
