The screen protector that comes with the phone is adequate.  I ordered one with my phone along with a car charger.  The car charger doesn't work with the phone (money refunded) and the shield was not cut for this phone as stated in the advertisement.  So no use to me.  I see some European web sites offering accessories for this phone but not much yet available on the American web sites.  If anyone knows of a good leather case (high quality), for this phone, please post.  I was looking at the Krusell but they don't have them available yet.  I think I would want something specifically designed for the Diamond.  I don't want an $800 dollar phone dropping on the ground Cry

I already scratched my screenprotector just a little bit, the stylus didn't seem 100% smooth, so now I use my spare stylus.
Does anyone know if the screenprotector which comes with the phone is washable if you take is of?

1 word. invisibleSHIELD (maybe it's 2 words combined or said as 1...idk lol) but yeah.
InvisibleSHIELD is said to be easy to reapply but it has a lifetime warranty so they'll send you a new one no charge.

This is just a review in regards to the screen protector that comes in the box (as I have no experience, yet, with other kinds/brands).

The screen protector that comes in the box is good and works adequately as protection for your screen right away. I advise putting this screen on as soon as possible until you decide to upgrade (if you decide to upgrade) just so that you have some sort of protection right out the box.

Right now, I'm using that one and haven't had any problems with it, it was very easy to apply (as the directions are right on the screen protector).

In terms of bubbling or interference with the TouchFlo screen, so far I haven't had any issues. My phone works exactly the same as when I didn't have it on (I went without a screen protector for about a week).

Tips

  • Turn your phone OFF and then apply the screen protector, it's a lot easier to smoothly apply the screen protector when you don't have to worry about starting any programs or pressing any buttons, commands, etc.
  • It's a good idea to apply the screen protector with your phone on a flat surface
  • When applying it, apply it aligning the top first, that way the rest of it (the bottom) will fall into place easier
  • When smoothing it out, you can use your finger, or take a piece of paper and smooth it down that way (the paper is in between the screen protector and your hand), or you can take a ruler and GENTLY (and I mean GENTLY) use the edge to smooth it out (similar to a squeegee on a windshield)

I don't think you can wash it and then reapply it, so after about 1 month (depending) or when you see edges curling upwards or it's not 'sticking' as well to the screen, it's time to replace and get a new one.

I can't help you with what kind of new one because I haven't purchased any new ones yet, but I do know that HTC does manufacture screen protectors, that depending on your country, are or will soon be available: http://www.expansys.ca/p.aspx?i=166217 (the CANADIAN SITE, but the site has options to choose your country so you can see when it is available or if it's already available and for how much respectively - to change the country, the option is on the TOP RIGHT of the website).

I second that motion.  Invisibleshield is the best.  After you put it on, ya can rub keys, change, screws, probably even the dogs teeth on the screen with no scratches.  I had this on my instinct, and I am definitly getting it on my Diamond.

I have the I.S. on my Instinct as well.  I love it, and with the stylus especially (better control).  It can grip a bit too much when scrolling with your finger, so I will play around with the Diamond first before deciding on a protector.

I did find it troublesome to put on because of using the solution and having to keep your phone off, and with the battery out for a night, and it is prone to small bubbles when complete.  Don't worry though, the small bubbles seem to dissipate after a few days... took 2 weeks for all of mine to go away, but looks real nice now.

There was a large scratch on the shield after a fork scraped it (don't ask)... after a week it faded away... strange, but the shield works!  Smiley

I wonder if Boxwave will make a protector for the Diamond.  That was another successful one for the Instinct with two options: Crystal clear, and anti-glare for sunlight viewing.

With regard to the Invisible shield for the Touch Diamond, does it fit well over the battery cover if you buy the full case version?

You get two options.  One for just the screen, or one for the entire phone.

I don't know if they have one specifically for the Sprint or Telus version yet, so be careful.  They usually pop up right after launch though... it was like that for the Instinct.
