Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing the HTC Touch Diamond. However, the deal that I'm wanting doesn't include "internet minutes". So my question is, can I default the programmes (such as Weather, E-mail, IE, etc) that access the internet to use WiFi instead by default?

Thanks,
John

Don't quote me as I've only had mine a week. I have the cheap data plan with sprint and have wifi at home and at work, when I walk into home or work the Sprint data connection disconnects automatially and connects to the wifi, so I see no reason why you can't, keep in mind certain services may require your carriers data network, I can't use Sprint TV via wifi, has to use the data connection.

You can completely disable the data network and enable wifi and then it will never connect to anything unless you're in a wifi hotspot.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, only just got my Diamond.
How would I go around disabling the data network and just enabling WiFi?
Thanks.

I had to fight with the stores, and call customer service just to get the phone without signing up for a data plan. Once I got the phone it was horrible to get it to not connect to the sprint data network... I would shut it off, and it would turn itself back on.... What I finally had to do was use the IM support feature to get Sprint to turn off my data access on my line. Now I get to fight with them over the data charges on my bill Angry
