Hi All,
I hope this is posted in the right forum - apologies if not.
I have a problem with what seems to be a feature everyone just loves.... I have a Diamond from TELUS mobility (Canada, CDMA), and it does not have a provision for recording voice tags - it uses the MS super duper, smarter than you and I voice recognition which is great if you only have English friends and associates. Jims, Jimmies, Bobs and Jennifers - no problem. Half the people (or more) on my list of contacts don't fit that category, and the phone is hopeless at recognizing foreign words (as I would expect).
I know there are ways to "navigate" around this - learn how the phone thinks the names should be pronounced, or butcher the names to make them fit English phonetics... but I doubt I could be the only one with this problem... especially living near Toronto, one of the most "multicultural" cities in the world... How does the great salad bowl of humanity we live in get along with a phone version of the puking lady from Little Britain?

What I would give to just make my own voice tags (which apparently was such torture for people... I don't get the issue).
Is there anything I can do? Anyway to "activate" voice tags? Anyway to retro fit them? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you all in advance,
Peter.
