Does HTC diamond has a time zone setting or not?

I m current staying in OZ - Australia, and there is this stupid day light saving thing running on the eastern area... so everyone on the eastern region (eg Sydney, Melbourne... etc) is one hour forward than usual~

I have set my diamond to the correct local time, but every time I Sync my diamond with my laptop, the time will be switched back an hour automatically...

This is so disturbing to me, since I depend on the calender function so much n I have been missing my appointment time for more than once.

I m wondering rather diamond has a timezone setting or not. n how do I change it?

P.S. I have tried the so called "region setting" on the system tag of the "Settings", it doesn't help any, n of course I have check the time of my laptop.

thank you~
Regards

I have read something about that a long while ago  - and hope I can recall correctly.

From what I remember this was an issue on some Diamonds and there was a ROM hot fix posted on the htc.com.

You might find it for your region on their site.

hey! thanks Atomic2mod!

although I didn't find the hotfix for diamond, the hotfix for diamond2 actually works for diamond. so thank you. I got my problem solved.

however, when I tried to do the same thing to my frd's touch hd... it says the hotfix is not compatible for the device n there is nothing relating to hd that has to do with timezone setting...

guess having a diamond instead of the hd is not really a bad thing

lol

thanks again

cheers
