1. I live in Dayton, Ohio and was wondering that if i purchased the US Version of the Diamond that people are selling on ebay, will it work here?

2. Will the GPS also work?

3. Will i be charged additional fee's on my network if i just plan on using wi-fi for internet?

ps. my network is at&t

1. No US version is selling yet.
2. GPS will work
3. No you won't
4. Since AT&T is a different frequency band, you might not get any signal in some areas.

1. Thank You for your response.  Smiley
2. There are ones on e-bay that say that the product is in the US ....i am talking about those.
3. So AT&T won't charge any more fee's if i get the phone or use the GPS (I dont have any data packages for AT&T).
4. One of the threads on this website post's a link which shows AT&T 1900 and where its avaliable and it shows that my whole area will has the frequency so will it work with out any problems?

Thank You

If you have 1900 mhz coverage in your area, the Diamond will work.  But like stated earlier, there is no US version of the HTC Diamond selling currently.  Anyone advertising a diamond for sale with delivery today of a US model, is falsly advertising it.  I would say wait until August or September if you want a US version of the phone.  I live in the States and I also use AT&T and get good coverage in my area but I this may not be the case in all markets.  I hope this helps.

Thank You livermore

I have inserted a picture which shows the 1900 area and I live in the area where the black box is. So if I get the Diamond the phone should work and what are the advantages if i wait for the US version. Will AT&T charge additional fees since i dont have data plan on my phone. I just plan on using wi-fi and the GPS (so will at&t charge any thing the GPS and data i download while i am using wi-fi).

Thank You

@livermore
Do you actually live in livermore? lol. I had to ask.

@haren91
1. US version=better coverage nation wide and less dropped calls
2. AT&T won't charge you UNLESS when you use GPS, you use Google Maps, Windows Live, etc.. if you have a GPS application like Garmin Mobile XT, TomTom, or iGo8; then it won't be a problem.
3. Wi-Fi is not apart of the network. You will never be charged for using wi-fi on your own device, unless you're accessing a Wi-Fi point that is not public, but you don't need to worry about that.

well I was asking livermore if he lived in livermore lol. And I think AT&T's site has a map that shows the different bands that can be used throughout usa. But right now I have no idea where they are T.T
