Did you turn up the volume?  When you press the volume hard keys on the side of the phone, the volume screen will show, are you making sure you press "Ring" as opposed to system tab, to increase ringer volume?

I know it sounds basic, but got to start somewhere right.

Thanx for that but yep, i have certainly done that!!!  hahahahahaaa - the omnia had a prefix that i typed into the keypad and it brought up a menu in which i could change all sorts of sounds from a say -4 to a 0 which would then make the phone louder.

There is a registry edit you can do that will increase ringer volume. If you want to try that here are the instructions, follow them exactly, (at your own accord).  If you do it exactly, you wont have any problems.

First off get a registry editor http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

Install that on your phone, put the cab file onto your phone by connecting to your pc or mac, drag the cab onto your internal storage, open it, and install regeditor onto Internal storage.

Next, open PHM reg edit.

Follow these intructions:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring  (press the + sign to open each folder, and press on the word Ring to open it's contents)

in there you will see in the bottom half of the screen, something that reads InitVol, press that, and a new screen will pop up.  Under Volume data it will read the number "3", change that (by using the up/down arrows), to something such as 7 or something and press OK, exit out, then restart your phone.  Your ringer volume will be higher.

Thanx!!! i downloaded Registry Editor as the one you suggested didn't work?!?!?  Anyway, got it working on the fone perfectly, went in and did what you suggested.... BUT..... the fone keeps resetting back to the original settings!!!!  aaarrrggghhhh!

I am starting to think that i'm just going to always have to have my fone next to me and in my hand or else i won't hear it ring  Huh?  If you have any other suggestions or helpful tips that would be great!

the only thing you can do at this point is to use a program like audacity to increase the volume.  But you are only going to get it so loud. The problem is not a setting in the registry or anything, the problem is the speaker.
