interesting, is it possible to connect the extrenal hard disk (which are usually 100-500Gb) to this phone using usb? :-) just in order to watch the fotos/videos from this drive

exactly. i have 160Gb 2,5" hard disk which i usually connect by usb to my pc and use it as a file storage. touch diamond has usb and windows mobile. i think, there must be possibility to connect it to this hard disk and be able to read/write files...... but how? can't want to get this phone.....  :-)

NOPE, its impossible, u have a USB port that u connect to the pc and another mini usb lookalike at the phone( not the standard mini USB)

It IS possible. With the right software of course. But you risk shorting out your phone because it will use the power from the Diamond, unless it has a external power supply which means that it will DEFINATELY short your diamond.

and what is you have an adapter with a flash drive connected to it? this way you a sort of external memory slot!

Yeah, but would be for connecting a external HDD, which need a lot of power...

A Flash drive on the other hand doesn't need thad much. Don't know if that would be possible though

Exactly what I said. If your external HDD has a power supply then it's fine. But if it doesn't then you could short out your diamond.

A USB port can either be a slave or a host. For the Diamond to connect to an external slave device (ie hard drive) it would need the diamond to become a Host Controller port.  Currently as far as I know, at the moment, the USB port is only a slave port (ie connects to a host port such as those on PC's).
Also,a slave port only takes power from a USB connection and doesn't drive power out.
