I've noticed that if I use the dropdown box to close out multiple programs (holding the "X" button down in the upper right corner of the screen) it shows what programs are running and you have the ability to close them all out at one time.

For no reason at all, I can randomly check to see what programs are running and active sync is always there.

I don't even have to use the phone. I'll just pick it up and sure enough, it's listed as running.

I've checked in all the settings, I can't find anything that shows that it comes on at certain times, (ie. plug in to charge)

Anyone else seen this? Anyone know how to stop it? I can simply close it out but in a few minutes, it's showing back up.

Thanks,

Mark

There you go... less than 10 minutes after this post. I haven't touched the phone. I check to see and sure enough.... activesync is opened.

I don't get it.

Same thing with me.  It is annoying if you are trying to charge the via the computer and the Active sync starts to sync the phone.  I have removed the Active sync from my computer until I can figure out how it works and how I can controll it.

I agree but the sad part is, my phone isn't hooked up to the computer when it starts it up.

It's a known problem for WinMo. I just use QuickMenu. (Google it!)
In quickmenu you just click start>QuickMenu>Option...>General>Auto Close ActiveSync

This happens because there is an exception to allow active sync to remain open, even though you close it, the rule will allow it to open again.  However if you do not have active sync on the exclusive list, and it still does it, then something may be wrong.  Not a big problem, just annoyance.

So open up your task manager...settings>System (tab)>Task Manager

The "Exclusive" (tab), might have two programs in there called replog.exe or something like that, and active sync, they are both the same thing.  Highlight them, and remove them.

No there is nothing wrong with your phone.  There is probably something else activating the program, like connecting it to your pc can do.  This may just be an annoyance, and something you have to keep on top of, if it bothers you.  Also make sure you have the bullet highlighted that say End programs by tapping X in task manager.
