2 Sync questions

I keep getting an erro message while sync with laptop for the notes that I used to have on my notepad from my old Palm that got transferred over. It says there was a problem syncing the documents either due to inadequate space (not true) or program is busy.  The funny thing is that the number of unresolved items fluctuates from 7 to 35 depending on each sync cycle ;-).   I can read the notes on the Diamond fine...so how do I delete this message?

Second un-related sync question: How do I only sync certain information with certain PC...my main one is home laptop, but would like to sync the calendar and contacts with office desktop as well.  How do I pick and choose?
