Is anyone having problems installing diamond tweaks and advanced config?I put the cabs into a folder, then I click on it in file explorer, like I do to all the other installers I use, but they dont even open when I double click on them. Could they be corrupt?

Nope i've never had a problem installing either of those apps. Not sure what it could be.. you could be installing a corrupt file. Try downloading and transferring the cab directly from your pc to the diamond via active sync.

Back on topic...

"Dramatically Improve your CDMA Diamonds Battery Life (Only tested on Sprint)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:4E20"

Does this work with the GSM phone?  I have the unlocked US 3G version with AT&T - and can always use more battery life! :-)

Thanks!

I dont believe it does.. I think it only works on CDMA phones, possibly only sprint.

Are you sure?  I heard that it works on GSM version as well. It was tested with Juicy rom (where the tweak came from) and it worked fine on dev's site.

Try it, it won't hurt to do so.

hey TnTsNipEs, I hope you don't mind that I merged your post and my post together.
Yours contained much more useful info so I just organized it and added onto yours.

I'll double check that for you late tonight. I remember some of them I had to improvise.

Here is another option to increase battery life:  Go to "all settings," "connections" tab, "beam," and uncheck "receive all incoming beams."  People have been reporting 10% more batter life than before turning this off.

This will not cripple anything on the phone unless you use "beams" to get information from other people.  If you don't know what this is, then obviously you don't use this feature. haha  Grin

Nice find.

I have ran into a problem using some of these tweaks. Apparently tntsnipes has well.

Problem:

You cannot pickup incoming call.

Things tried:

Soft-reset
Trying back the oem settings
switch out the phone

I'm going to hard reset my phone today and test everyone of these tricks one by one until the culprit that's been crippling my phone has been found.

The problem isn't with the tweaks.. Its with every phone almost. If you hard reset it may fix for a little, but will go straight back to the problem... Even w/ no tweaks.

A lot of people seem to think its Diamond Tweak (the program) thats causing this, not sure.

Here is a fix:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40427

Here is a topic that discusses this:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39902&highlight=Delay+Answering

I haven't tried the fix yet, but I'll be doing this shortly.
