sniper - tell me one thing, how are the battery life quadrippled using this ?

Dramatically Improve your CDMA Diamonds Battery Life (Only tested on Sprint)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:4E20

To change that with PHM all you have to do is change the Decimal (Select Decimal instead of HEX) to 20000

i.e. instad of changing 4E20 (which you can't do in PHM) select Decimal and then add  20000 (Same thing)

What are we compromising here?

From what I understand, this changes the amount of times the phone checks the battery level status.  Changing it to the new number tells it to check less, therefore saving battery power.

hey dude, thanks for the reply.

But I'm still confused.
I get your concept but how often can one phone check itself for power? From OPs post, it lasted 16 HOURS of a vigorous use. It should normally last less then 5. That's almost 4x of battery life just because it's checking the battery status less... hmm...

I still feel that something would/should be affected/compromised.
Can anyone maybe op explain this thing more for me please?

Your confusing a couple things here and thats why your thinking that way (which is understandable).

I get anywhere from 15-18hrs of use with decent amount of talking pr day (about 1-2hrs), texting, checking emails, little wifi usage, etc... The 5hrs your talking is continuous talk time.

The only thing being compromised is how accurate the battery meter may be at any given point. Thats it...

The process for the phone to check the battery is quite extensive, i.e. consumes battery life... basically if you can cut how many times it does this, you can gain battery life...

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Any chance you can help?!  I accidentally uninstalled Google Maps from my phone.  Can I download it to get it back?

Yeah... I agree this is a bit off topic.  Please be aware of the current discussion in a thread and post a new topic if your question does not apply.  Also, remember that "search" is your friend! Smiley

If you removed google maps off the icons in touchflo, it is still installed on your phone.  You just have to add it back into one of the squares (or got to "all program" to use it).  If you completely removed it from the add/remove section in the settings (windows mobile part... aside from touchflo), they you have to reinstall it.  You can always download, and reinstall a program again.

You know what's something else that was looking for?
I heard that there's a tweak in registry to change data disable after 10 sections of inactivity instead of a 1 min. If someone can find that post it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Now we're just hijacking the thread, BUT I am able to use the "Use GPS" feature to get my location.  I'm currently running Version 2.2.0.20.

In Advanced Config, only thing about data you see is data connection and from there
there's nothing about Data Time out 60sec. I know it's a pain but can you verify if it was advance config?

Cookie for you btw.

It is entirely possible that you were standing inside a building without any satellites available.  It is also possible that somehow your GPS is not configured correctly.
