NOTICE: Juicy has taken down his Roms until further notice.
Juicy's 4.2 is out!:WARNING: Flashing is a more advanced technique with the Diamond. If you are not ready for something like this, please read all you can about it, and then determine if you want to continue forward. If you do this, everyone at alltouchdiamond.com is not to be held responsible for damaged phones. There is another warning listed on ppcgeeks that Juicy and other developers are not to be held responsible for anything that happens as well. This thread is posted due to positive experiences, and to let people know what else is out there. When running a Rom like this, please understand that you are part of a “testing” community. None of these are official to any service provider, and are not guaranteed by anyone.
This ROM was built & tested with TELUS users in mind, but should work on other carriers.
Compatibility List: TELUS, Bell, Sprint, Alltel
**Software individual to carriers, like Sprint Nav, and TV (example), must be installed by separate cabs.
BACKUP everything you have including contacts, because they will be erased!
INTERNAL STORAGE will not be touched, but applications you have installed on it will not be in the new program list. I would recommend backing up your internal storage in a folder on your computer and going to all settings, clear storage (under systems tab), choosing “format internal storage only,” and typing in 1234. You will have to re-install all those programs again.
Another way is to leave the internal storage alone, and using Total Commander to create a shortcut into the start menu. You click on the program in the “program files” folder in the internal storage. Select the application in T.C. and click “file” then “>>>>>” then “Create Shortcut.” When the window pops up choose “Tree.” Open the “+” for “Windows”, and highlight “Start Menu.” Press “Ok” then “Ok” and it should now be in the Program list
**Flashing a Stock Rom (Sprint’s original Rom for example), as well as re-locking the phone, must occur if you plan on sending it back to your carrier. If your phone software is different than your carrier, it could void warranty’s and insurance.
Things you will need for the journey:DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS and DOWNLOADS on Flashing and Re-Flashing:…and how to UNLOCK your phone, FLASH a new rom, how to get back to the original STOCK ROM, and lock the phone back (in case it needs to go back to Store). This also includes downloads to all the software you will need, as well as all the original STOCK ROMS and RE-LOCKER program:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062**Juicy’s Rom includes a file called “RUU_Signed.nbh.”
Skip this step: “4. Drag the RUU_Signed.nbh file into the RUU folder.”

Including TV, NAV, and other software:

Everything is fast, and I believe faster than the Sprint stock rom. Of course it has the look and feel of the traditional Diamond menus instead, but that's ok. Even though touchflo 3d does not have the same tabs, I can access nav and tv through the program list, or use voice command to get to them.
Re-mapped keys:Holding the send key now rotates the screen (rotates on windows mobile screens. It does not work right on Touchflo), and can be re-mapped back to voice command if you want. I did this by going to the "buttons" section in the personal settings tab, and switching what the button did from the drop-down menu. I reset the phone, and got an error msg. After another restart, it works perfectly now. The first time you press it, it might take a few secs to activate, and will be fine from now on.
If you like the rotation you can re-assign one of the softkeys on the left and right bottom of the screen (Phone, Programs). I changed the programs button to Voice and redirected it to voice command.
Remap right soft key with a registry editor:HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
HomeRSKPath: change Value to: windows\voicecmd.exe (be mindful of the “\” direction)
HomeRSKText: change Value to: Voice (or whatever else you want to call it)
Now soft-reset, and it should work. There might be a pause the first time you initiate Voice command.
Sprint Software:I had to track down the cabs for navigation and Sprint tv. These were posted on ppcgeeks (posted above) so that was no problem. I downloaded the cab that Sprint has posted as an upgrade to picturemail, and it works fine now as well.
FM RADIO IS BACK!Another feature that Juicy added into 3.0 is the FM Radio! It uses the headset as an antenna, and will not work without plugging it in. This is a great feature because some gyms use FM radio for the sound on their TVs. I don't know why Sprint took this feature out... maybe because they have "Sprint radio."
Do I have to do Tweaks? All the tweaks that we are doing to our phones are already there, and the speaker quality is even better than after the registry tweak posted in our forums. I think its loud enough when the bar is less than half way up on the volume control!
How do I get back to the Stock Rom?So... what happens if I need to get it back to the stock rom? They have it for download on ppcgeeks (link above), and I downloaded it to my PC just to be safe. They have a program that locks the phone back if needed as well, so no problem there (also downloaded it).
All instructions that you need are posted in the links above, as well as everything you will need to download. Please discuss your testing experiences in this thread!
TIP: When using Live Search on a flashed Rom, the GPS might not work right away to determine your "current GPS location." To fix this, on the main screen, go to Menu, Settings, and set the GPS com port to 4.
