I want to hard reset my htc touch diamond but I have had it unlocked to all networks and was just wondering if i would lose that if I hard reset it because it was originally on orange.

You'll be fine. The phone will stay unlocked.

I had to hard reset my Diamond a few days ago.
Press and hold volume down and the action key,
press and hold for a few seconds soft reset button with the stylus (while still holding volume down and action),
release soft reset button but keep the others pressed until the message appears on the screen.
Once the message appears you either press volume up to hard reset and leave internal storage intact or volume down to hard reset and clear internal storage.
If you get the timing wrong the phone will just soft reset and you will need to try again. It took me about six goes to get it right.
hope this would help u..
thanks.

Volume down + Enter (circle on front of phone) + Power...hold all three down at same time.Hard reset will restore factory defaults thus erasing everything on the device side, while Internal Storage wont be touched.
