OK, I'll be more specific.

I connect my diamond to the computer through activesync. The computer is connected to the internet through a pppoe connection. I've understood that you can navigate on the diamond using the computers connection to internet and I cannot do this.

Go into ActiveSync, or if you have Vista, It is called Windows Mobile Device Center.  Go to your Mobile Device Settings and Click on Connection Settings. Here you have a few options.  Make sure that the following are checked.

Allow USB Connections.

This Computer is connected to (Automatic)
Allow automatic device authentication
ALLOW DATA CONNECTIONS ON DEVICE WHEN CONNECTED TO PC

if you have all of those checked you should have no problems connecting to the internet.

I've exactly what you've said and it doesn't work. Should I share my internet connection from the PC? What are the TCP/IP settings for the phone?
