Is there any large caches that take up all the phones memory? I havent really done much, maybe installed 5 programs, (which I dont know, is it work if it is installed to the internal storage, or does it have to be installed to the device?) maybe 6 pictures taken with the phones camera, and 3 songs downloaded from the music program, and now it says that I have 2 mbs left and it wont open youtube because it needs 8

Make sure you are saving things in your internal memory and not your device

Can I install programs to the internal storage? or do those have to be on the device?

What programs do I need to save to the device?

The way I understand it is, any program you install will work if installed into the internal storage side of the phone.

I've never tried that program you mentioned.  Smiley

Thanks,
It works ok, I have only had the phone since Friday, and it freed up about 8 mbs of unnecessary files.

Does anyone know of a program that shows where your memory is going? like a graphic representation that shows games is taking up 8mbs, the temp folder has 3 mbs in it, etc., etc.

Here is an advanced task manager that will allow you to monitor your processes... and you can also soft reset from the menu instead of taking the back cover off and pressing that button with the stylus:

http://www.touchxperience.com/en/advanced-task-manager/downloads.html

If you click the top right of your phone you will see a button that looks like a micro-chip of some sort.  Click that and it will show you your memory levels.  Also, you can use your Finder program that came with your phone to search for files by size.  It will show you what might be eating up storage space.

yes, you can install programs to the Internal storage. However some of the program is still going to install and take up some space of your device drive.   Also, A good program to use is called ClearTemp, which you can get over at freewareppc.com.  or just click on, http://freewareppc.com/utilities/cleartemp.shtml
