Can this be done?

All of my phones had first name first then last name second.

When I transferred my contacts from instinct, this changed... how do i change it back to way that I'm used to?

for example: Gamestop Sheridan has become sheridan gamestop... very inconvenient.

I really dont like it either, and the only way I know is long and boring. It involves going into each contact and changing the way they display.

First off, if you add contacts using Outlook, then start there. Open Outlook got to Tools>options>Preferences>contact options...set default file as order first last. This wont change existing contacts, but will change the display for future contacts.

This is the tedious way...

Now with the phone connected to your pc, bring up your contacts in outlook, double click each one, and change the "file as" order in the Full Name section. If your phone is connected it will change on your phone at the same time. All should be changed.

The horrible way...

Ok if you do it on the phone, (which is horrible). Open Contacts>all people...then the horrible way, individually click on each name and change the way they are displayed. menu>edit>file as

I have never used outlook beofre... so i guess I have no choice but to go with the horrible horrible way...

Awesome job Globo. Maybe this should be moved to HowTo, or apps section. Since this is a really good find for a really annoying issue.
